Icebreaker Tournament

Hello All!

We welcome you to our 4th Annual IceBreaker Tournament at Rhinelander Ice Arena. Here are a few notes to help you prepare for next weekend:

There will be a check-in table immediately as you enter the lobby. At this table, you will receive your jersey and team assignments (as previously posted). A tournament bracket, locker room assignments, and tournament rules will be posted in the lobby.

Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your first game. This will give you time to get your jersey, find your locker room, etc. The coaches ask that you be ready 15 minutes before your first game so they can get to know the team a little and create a game plan.

Goalies: Since you are rotating teams, feel free to pick a locker room with either team you are playing with for that game. We will be keeping track of goalie stats (Save Percentage) throughout the weekend to determine the placements of the goalies. We will assign the goalies for the TBD Sunday games based on this, as well as determine our champion goalie for each division.

The Ice Breaker is a fall tournament which players sign up for individually and then are assigned to teams. The teams are drafted to be as equal as possible based on the information collected for each player. At the Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam Level, each team will consist of 6 defenseman, 9 forwards, and two goalies. Team rosters will be posted at least one week before the tournament.

Squirts (2014-2016 birth years) and Peewees (2012-2013 birth years) will be held October 4-6. Mite Cross Ice (2016 and younger) and Bantams (2010-2011 birth years) will be held October 11-13.  

All teams at Squirt, Peewee and Bantam will be guaranteed 3 games. All teams at Mites will be guaranteed 4 cross ice games.

Fees (includes jersey):

Mites - $95 per player

Squirts, Peewees, Bantams - $135 per player
