10,000 Shot Club

It’s always tough to have the season end, just as the players are starting to make exponential gains. There are off-season training opportunities for your player over the coming months that will allow them to be that much more prepared when they hit the ice next season. One of the easiest, that can even be done from home, is to continue to work on their shooting and stickhandling. To aid in this effort, we’re happy to announce The Domino’s Pizza 10,000 Shot Club. The challenge to gain membership to the club will run from April 1 to November 1. Those able to complete the challenge of taking 10,000 shots during that period (record keeping is purely on the honor system) will receive a t-shirt, free pizza certificate, and be entered into a prize drawing. Finishers will be recognized as club members at one of next season’s High School Hodags’ home games; and be included in the revamped 10,000 Shot Club Wall of Honor at the arena entrance.

Cost to take part is $20. This will include 10 pucks for your shooter to use in their quest to complete the challenge and gain admission to the club. A How-to video will be provided to help instruct your shooter on the proper form and techniques. There will be an in-person registration event held on Monday, March 22 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rhinelander Ice Arena (cash or checks payable to RIA); with additional opportunities to sign-up online at www.rhinelanderice.com.
